Amazon.com Product Description The Aurora AS810SD 8-Sheet Strip Cut Paper/CD/Credit Card Shredder with Basket is the perfect home device to help keep you safe from identity theft. The AS810SD accepts up to eight sheets of paper at a time and shreds them into 1/4-inch strips. Paper is shredded at a speedy 9.7 feet per minute. A three-mode safety switch keeps your fingers from getting caught. To get the shredding started, simply feed paper through and the shredder auto starts. In addition to paper, the AS810SD shreds CDs and credit cards, keeping vital information from falling into the wrong hands. The throat of the shredder is 8.75 inches wide and the basket itself can hold 4.5 gallons, or 100 sheets of shredded paper.

DISAPPOINTING January 9, 2009 MommaMia Before ordering this item, I had read some other purchasers' opinions and felt this shredder would be as satisfactory as my Fellowes [Model DM3]. Had I the Aurora shredder first, I might have been content with its function. However, after having a Fellowes shredder for better than 15 years, that worked effortlessly [until I inadvertently shred a document with a thick binding and it jammed the mechanism and ultimately botched the sensor], the Aurora is a huge disappointment. When feeding papers into the sensor it takes some coaxing to activate; if the paper slides 'out of the sensor's range' it will hang there until another sheet is fed to activate. The cost was nominal. I guess the saying, you get what you pay for is applicable here. I'd look into a Fellowes before getting this one.
Paper Shredder Review January 7, 2009 Erin K. Mahany My I got it as a gift and I don't believe it has been taken out of the box yet, however it looked like it was in good condition!
Great Product, Great Seller December 24, 2008 Eva Sokol (Michigan) I received this shredder very quickly. It works exactly as described. A very smooth transaction.
Great shredder for household use December 24, 2008 S. J. BITTNER My boyfriend and I purchased this shredder for use in our apartment. We had stacks of papers we already wanted to shred and this baby did the job. Comes with a CD and credit card shredder. Works great. You can take the top (shredder) part off and put it on an size can as it has adjustable length.
Aurora AS810SD Review December 6, 2008 Kenneth J. Mccormick 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is one great shredder for the price. It is almost like getting the CD and DVD destroyer for free. This is NOT a cross-cut shredder, so it it really only useful at home. If you can live with that, you will have gotten a terrific bargain. Most people don't really need a cross cut shredder just for shredding bills and such. Ken McCormick Webmaster Http://Aboutfacts.net
