Product Description

The South American Handbook is a legend in travel guide publishing. The one-and-only “Travelers’ Bible” has had its annual overhaul, giving you a comprehensive update of everything they ever needed to know about how to discover this fascinating continent. This new, 85th edition is unparalleled in its depth of coverage and takes independent travelers away from the well-trodden “Gringo Trail,” off into the wilds of the Andes, up the Amazon River, and onto deserted beaches.

5 out of 5 stars Good Price and Delivering   November 11, 2008
Maria Julia (Peru)
For me It was good service.
That was the first time I ordered a book by internet, and the time it took for delivering was less than the indicated in the order confirmation, that's a good point to consider 'cause I was expecting the book before my vacations trip begin and it arrived just on time, even a little before =)
Indeed, the price for the book (plus shipping and handling) was really good, keep going with the special offers and discounts!!!
Thanks for a good delivering and price!!!

5 out of 5 stars The best out there   August 25, 2008
J. Gooch (New York, NY)
This book provides the best information for those traveling to South America. It's content is precise, updated, and unique. Further to this, the structure of the book is extremely useful for those that are not looking for the "standard", "packaged" vacation.

5 out of 5 stars South America - Footprints   May 15, 2008

In preparation for a trip to South America, I purchased a number of books on the different countries as well as South America in general. By far, the Footprints offered the best information, maps, and tips for successful navigation through the country. Unfortunately, this is such a thick guide that it will not make the trip with us, but it has helped lay the foundation for efficiently exploring all that South America has to offer.

5 out of 5 stars The Vry Best for Cheap Travel   April 24, 2008

I have traveled in South America four times with this book. It is fantastic for low-budgeters like me. I am a woman, 52. I travel alone. It gives all the info I needed about even small towns. It's by far the most extensive - and the price is so cheap!!

Informative for helping me plan my trip to Peru and Chile. Better yet was that it arrived the day after ordering it. Thanks!
