beautiful piece but not practical November 12, 2008 Pamela W. Wooddell (Wilmington, NC) this needs to be a smidgen bigger in each of the 6 slots. I have to put the big piece of the charger in one and then put the cord over into the next slot, meaning that I can only take 3-4 somethings instead of 6. But it IS beautiful and easy to carry. I love BuiltNY stuff.
Simple alternations would make for a much better bag November 4, 2008 ginmar (all over) The pockets on this thing were too small and I expected an open central space. There wasn't one; instead there was lots of wasted fabric in the form of a weird wad of fabric used to make the central division in the bag. Instead of having, say, pockets created on the inside surface of the bag, a double layer of fabric was sewn into pockets. I just picked out the stitching for the two end pockets and wound up with two nice large pockets; perfect!
Just what the Doctor ordered August 16, 2008 Michael King (San Diego, CA USA) This is really well made, EXACTLY as described, quite attractive and reasonably priced, although larger than I imagined until I looked closely at the description. The pockets neatly hold a MacBook power adapter, flash drives, cell charger, cable adapters.... Be aware however that there wouldn't be room for in the pockets for the much larger power adapter that's attached to, for example, an HP laptop and there is not a space in the middle between the two sides - exactly as described. For my wife's needs, this was an excellent value, and I'll be looking at other items from Built NY.
Great cord and charger organizer for travel! July 17, 2008 Gadget Girl (Alexandria, VA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted a way to organize several USB charger cords for an upcoming trip to Europe, and this organizer worked great! It held an APC battery backup and charger cords for my video player, cell phone, iPod, camera cords as well as other extras like SD cards. It does not hold very large chargers (such as a MacBook pro charger or a large notebook "block" charger). Regular a/c adapter plugs are a big of a squeeze, but they do fit. If you had several A/C adapters this could pose a challenge. The bag is perfect for what I wanted. As long as you are using this bag to organize lots of USB cords and only a few A/C adapters, you will be fine.
Pretty Pockets too small June 20, 2008 L. Taylor 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this to go with the laptop sleeve. It has pockets inside and is pictured holding what looks like a mac laptop charger of some sort. It doesn't really fit the charger for my macbook well. I have to put the power brick part in one pocket and the rest of the cord wound between two other pockets. Unless your laptop's power brick is exceedingly small, I don't recommend this bag for it. Buy the lunch bag instead. I ended up using this bag for cosmetics and toiletries when I travel.
