These suitcases survived a trip to India and back with a lot of side trips thrown in with little or no damage. They seem to be very sturdy. if there is a con, it is that thye weigh quite a bit and with baggage allowances being what they are, it is bit inconvenient.
Another pro for the silver color is that you can use a permanent marker to write your contact information on the side for easy identification and if someone takes it by mistake they know how to reach you.
