Product Description
Whether you're trying to keep up with the kids at the rink or just out to have some good old-fashioned fun with the girls, this classic women's quad roller skate from Chicago is a great way to get started. The skate features a traditional high top profile boot to support your ankles and a simple eyelet/speed hook lacing system that allows you to adjust the fit as you go. The indoor/outdoor urethane wheels, which hold up well against the normal wear and tear of skating, provide great traction and control, and the semi-precision bearings keep you rolling smooth and fast. An aluminum base plate with adjustable truck provides easy turning and control. The skate is available in white and comes in sizes one through eleven. It's covered by a 30-day warranty.

5 out of 5 stars Love Em!   January 7, 2009
S. Gartin (Texas)
I just purchased these for a late birthday present- call it nostalgia or what have you. But, I know that some of my best times use to be on skates.... so I thought I would give it a try and I bought these- I think they are great... its just a matter of me not being so rusty :) I would def reccomend.

5 out of 5 stars totally satisfied- daughter loves them   January 1, 2009
T. Kimbell (Rich Hill, MO USA)
I ordered these skates for my daughter, in a size 7, knowing that all skates usually run bigger than shoes. Perfect guesswork- just a little bit of growing room. The wheels are plastic- but for $39.00 they are awesome. The plastic wheels are the very sturdy type and the upper part is very well made. I'm going to order a pair for me!! Don't hesitate to choose these skates, but order a size smaller than your most common shoe size. Different shoe companies making shoes call the same size shoe different sizes (I worked in a shoe factory for 3 months and discovered that no wonder sometimes you need a 7 and sometimes an 8--it's actually the same size at the factory and given different size numbers according to what company it is). I usually hesitate to pay much attn. to reviews because you never know who wrote them or what their motivation was. But I truly am surprised that in 2009 you can order quality skates for $40. Happy Times! Teresa from Missouri

3 out of 5 stars Retro. Basic. Pink. Pricey.   December 1, 2008
T. Gale (Indianapolis, USA)
My daughter squealed with delight as she opened these skates as a gift for her eighth birthday. Mission accomplished.

The construction is heavy. The design is retro, and resembles something from the Soviet Union or North Korea. The style is so basic, and even the packaging seems unimaginative. She wanted quad skates in a girlie color, so this is it.

I can't believe that these cost this much.

5 out of 5 stars pretty great skates   November 24, 2008

i can't say that i'm an expert on skates, but compared to the ones you rent at a roller rink, these are pretty good. they're not perfectly straight, but pretty straight. that's what you can expect from skates under $50. i was most worried about the sizes. i wear a 6.5-7 women's. i bought a size six skate and it fit perfectly.

4 out of 5 stars Can't beat the price   November 19, 2008

I bought these for my self after reading the reviews, they do tend to run a little on the large size, but just put in a pair of gel insoles love the comfort. I guess what they say is true you don't forget how to skate, it has been 20 plus years since I had a pair on, and after a few times or skating was right back into the swing of things.
