Product Description Unlike most poorly manufactured and shoddy wooden practice katanas, this sword brings to both stability and practicality. With a comfortable cord wrapped handle and sturdy construction, this practice sword will last through many rigorous training sessions. Guard and no longer includes oversized ruuber band brace, now ships with normal style rubber band brace, not pictured. If you are going to practice, why not use a practice sword that feels and grips like a real sword? Measuring: 39" Overall, 30" Blade Portion Length.

Bokken sword December 2, 2008 Sheri C. Woodruff (Chicago IL) My brother and I have three of these swords. The paint chips easily though so I recommend the wood kind. One of our black swords is almost completely white because of this. Overall great sword. You can go all out and wont break them. They are a good weight and great for practicing. Don't buy the black! just by the natural because there is no paint to chip. costs the same but looks so much better. But if you already have a black sword and you get this, then it leaves black marks on it. That doesn't look horrible though
Good Practice Sword September 14, 2008 P. Brown (San Antonio, TX USA) After buying a few katanas from this site awhile back, I quickly realized that I needed a practice one to hone my technique so that I would feel more confident when it came time to handle a real one. I decided that this bokken katana would suit my needs. It recieved many positive reviews and it was also cheap. It arrived in less than a week and I immediately fell in love with it. I was amazed at how similar this sword felt compared to my real ones. Before I bought this sword, I couldn't get my real katanas to sing when I swung them, but afterwards, I feel much more confident in handling them and they sound like they are supposed to. This sword is excellent for practicing swings and other techniques such as stances. I would not recommend it for sparring sessions, though, as when I hit a low ceiling while practicing one day, I slightly damaged it (Nothing major, just a small chip, and the ceiling took most of the damage anyway). One major complaint I have is that the cord on the handle has begun to unravel after frequent use, making the sword difficult to use once my hands become sweaty. Still, I recommend it because it allows me to become more comfortable when using my real katanas.

Black Cord Wrapped Boken Daito Wood Practice Sword April 27, 2008 Andrew Thompson (Potsdam, New York) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A decent item for extremely light use. Use with any regularity more often then extrememly light results in the "cord wrap" sliding around and falling off; leaving a a very sticky glue film behind. Very light in weight though, so anyone can use it.
Great for the price March 20, 2008 David C. Foley 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
At only $9, this is an exelent buy. I have been using this thing for almost 2 years with great results. Pros: Wrapped handel is very professionaly done. Very comfortable and lightweight. Realistically sized and scalled. Cons: The center of ballence is not exactly in the center. Chips and dents very easily (this is not for dueling!)
