Amazon.com Product Description
Specifically made for women, with its lightweight and slender design, this all-in-one heart rate monitor and sports watch by Reebok uses a patented method called "pulse technology" to measure the electrical pulses sent out by your heart each time it beats. Of course, the amazing part is that it works by finger touch rather than the cumbersome chest strap used by most other heart monitors. Within four seconds of touching the sensors on the watch, you can get not only an accurate heart rate reading, but also the number of calories burned during your workout.

The monitor has a programmable heart rate zone with audible and visual alarms to alert you when you get out of zone, plus a settable alarm if you have a maximum rate you should not exceed. Made from durable plastic and fully water-resistant, the device also features regular watch functions, plus a 100-hour stopwatch and countdown timer. It comes with a complete walking and exercise guide and one-year warranty.

About Reebok
Reebok's United Kingdom-based ancestor company was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So, in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes. In 1958, two of the founder's grandsons started a companion company that came to be known as Reebok, named for an African gazelle.

1 out of 5 stars Heart rate function stopped working after 6 weeks, Amazon charged an $8 re-stocking fee   January 8, 2009

Worked great for the first six weeks, then the heart rate function stopped working. Returned to Amazon, but they charged me an $8 restocking fee. Huh? How can they re-sell it? It's defective. When you place your order, make sure you ask Customer Service to not ship you THIS ONE.

4 out of 5 stars Reebock Fitwatch   January 6, 2009
James G. Jarzabek (Nebraska)
This was a gift for my wife. She is very happy with the watch. It took her a while to learn how to illuminate the face in low light conditions, but that is no longer an issue. She uses the watch on aerobic machines and tells me it would be easier to use if the finger pads were at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions rather than the 12 and 6 positions. Overall she is quite pleased with the product.

5 out of 5 stars I like it   January 6, 2009

I like this because I don't have to wear the chest strap. It doesn't take continuous heart rate, but I've found it sufficient for my needs. I can still take my pulse without really stopping what I'm doing. I also like that I can set a custom range to set my goal heart rate in during a work out so that I can make sure I stay in that range without having to remember all the numbers or count by hand. I also like the blue, very pretty for an exercise watch.

works good for the money spent. It worked perfect everytime that I pushed the buttons, now that I have had it a few weeks sometines it will not read and I have to retry 2-3 times to get it to read.
Nice item for the money

2 out of 5 stars Ok as a watch, bad as a HRM   December 30, 2008

This watch works fine and all the other features seem to be great, but as a HRM it simply doesn't do the job I need! In one 45 minute session on an elliptical it thought I burned 700+ calories, while the machine and another heart rate monitor both read as me burning about 250. I got this for Christmas otherwise I would have been shopping for a HRM with a chest strap like the Polar F6, which I will probably buy soon.
