 NEVER subscribe to a magazine through Amazon November 6, 2008

I subscribed in July waited patiently as instructed for the October issue and when I called Amazon to inquire as to why I had not received it, I was given the run around and ultimately told that even if i never got an issue I also would NEVER get a refund: "We don't refund magazine subscriptions."
Has not come. November 2, 2008

Subscribed in the first week of August, it is now the first week of November and not one magazine has arrived.

I subscribed in July and have not received an issue yet. Just got off the phone with customer service-- he assured me (unconvincingly) that my November issue would arrive soon. He gave no acceptable explanation for the delay, trying to convince me that my address was changed... but my address is printed correctly on Amazon, and has remained the same since July! How could there have been a mistake? July to November... that's certainly longer than 6-10 weeks! DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO MAGAZINES THROUGH AMAZON, as others have previously stated, unless you want to be as angry as I am now.

I emphasize what others have said -- ordered subscription in July and still have not received 1 issue, nor does the Atlantic website show that my subscription has been renewed. Very disappointing, particularly since Amazon has been pushing its magazine subscription service.

I placed an order for subscription for the magazine on June 30. It is October now and I still have not received any issues of the. When I checked on the magazine web site it showed that I have no subscription with them. I started writing amazon inquiring about the magazine but they have been referring me back and forth to the magazine subscription unit with no clear results. I requested a refund from amazon which I still have not received. My next step will be to make a claim with my credit card. Very disappointing amazon customer service. The magazine, though, is really interesting and intellectually stimulating so this review should not have any bearing to the contents of The Atlantic itself.
