speedo swim suits September 12, 2008 Kenneth L. Block (Georgia, USA) These speedo swim suits are a good value in my opinion. They fit well, snug but not tight and they last for about 6 months. I swim w/ a masters group and am in chlorinated water 4 to 5 times/week.
Disappointed September 1, 2008 Kevin Love (Duh) The size advertised ("36"), and delivered (36")as evidenced by the label, did not match the actual small waist size of the product(approximately 30-32"). Was this the reason this product was so inexpensive- improper labeling at the factory?
Good Brief for the Price August 13, 2008 emoKid (Melbourne, FL USA) This brief is great. They're usually on sale at all the sporting good stores around where I live. They hold up well and are great for swimming laps. The first one I got lasted only a couple of months do to improper care. The second one I bought lasted much longer (8 months and going). I swim 2-3 hours a day 5 times a week, so it holds up pretty well. After using them, make sure to soak them in cold water for a few minutes then rinse them with cold water to get all the chlorine out.
It's Speedos... June 5, 2008 Richard Cohen (Big Island, HI USA) ...for swimming laps in the pool. That's it. I don't even wanna talk about.
A Classic - Gets the Job Done October 24, 2007 Hotswimmer (Irvine, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm a U.S. Master's competitive swimmer, and I've been swimming most of my life. Over the years, I've tried racing briefs like this from just about every major manufacturer out there - Speedo, Tyr, Nike, Adidas, Arena, Dolfin, Hind, Victor, and Finals just to mention some. This one is a timeless classic. It's comfortable and reasonably durable, and does it's job well. It comes in a great selection of colors. The only thing I don't like about it is that over the years, Speedo keeps making the sides wider and wider. It's got a lot of coverage now - a cut Jerry Falwell would love. If you like lots of coverage, that's great, but I find that as a result, these start to bag and sag on me as they loosen up, as lycra suits tend to do with use, and I swim 7 days a week... I've grown to prefer Tyr suits for their briefer, more comfortable and more flattering fit - that's just personal preference, though. Both are good brands. Also, if you swim a lot, take a look at this same suit in Speedo's polyester-blend fabric "Endurance" line, if you want one that really holds up well over the long run.
